Mackenzie loves big hugs with Baxter. Baxter, although always game for some hugs, is not really into the 'long duration hug', and likes to move on as soon as possilble, without being rude, of course. Before you ask - yes, Mackenzie has a 'boot' - she broke her foot a month ago. It's been a long month and she is really looking forward to getting it off, hopefully in a couple of weeks. Also! I would like to add that I posted this pic for my dear friend God's Child, as she was kindly asking how Mackenzie is doing. I hope you can tell that she is doing just fine (after recently completing her degree in Human Rights) except of course, for the foot!

On the outside looking in

Here's Baxter with his 'blizzard face'. After about half an hour outside in a storm, he's ready to come in. But only if it's really cold. Otherwise, he would just stay outside forever, I think. Except of course, at mealtime. 02/25/22

Baxter meets Geese

As it turned out - the geese were far less interested in Baxter than Baxter was with them. I guess big goofy dogs making lots of noise was a fairly common event, more of an irritation than anything else. 05/18/22

Why I don't have many pictures of Baxter

Sadly, this is what typically happens. Baxter is just not a fan of photography, when he sees the camera, it's 'Sorry, I've got better things to do.' and off he goes. Actually I was going to trash this photo (taken by Terry) because he is obviously so completely out of focus, but then decided I like it. It really does tell the story of Baxter, my camera and his attitude, lol. 06/11/22

The getaway. Baxter has his limit for tolerating grooming. When he's done, he's done and off he goes. Note the downside of brushing Baxter - bundles of hair flying everywhere, except for what sticks to your clothes, which is almost permanently attached with some sort of magical 'dog glue'. I wasn't going to post this pic because the background is so cluttered and distracting, but I thought you might find it kinda cute, I hope so anyway. :-))
