My Mini Movies
Autumn Sunrise Time Lapse Oct.'19
Week 3 of Make Movies Class.... I have no idea why it's only in focus half way through, makes no sense as the camera was on Manual Focus. Also, I would have liked it to be a little longer but the battery died.. :(
I am disappointed in Smugmug & how poor the quality of the videos are. They do not look like this on my computer nor on Vimeo, so it's frustrating. My Video Portrait of Shelby (Oct.'19)
Week 2 of the Make Movies class... make a video portrait. It seemed a no-brainer to make one of Shelby. I ended up with so much footage, I could have made a movie a half an hour long (and maybe I will someday).
This little girl is always busy, always engaged and always entertaining. I love her to the moon & back... hope that shows just a little bit here in this one minute moment of her life.Shoot my Weekend (Oct. 5 & 6th/19)
Week 1 of the Make Movies Class - follow yourself around for the weekend, camera in hand. Put it all together and make it less than a minute so it can be uploaded to Instagram for critiquing.
Ha! What a challenge! It turns out that I do a lot of things in 2 days! There is a whole bunch of film on the cutting room floor... :) and this is what is left.
I actually like it, and think it's a very accurate little slice of my life. How to Save a Life
Week 5 assignment is to create a 'How To' movie... and because I don't do much cooking & baking anymore (as little as possible) I didn't want to do food. So..just picked a little project I had to get done anyway, filmed it and cut it back to 1 minute so it can be loaded to Instagram for critique by teacher!
Slo Mo Moment in the Storm (Oct.10 -12, '19)
Week 3 of the Make Movies class. The prompt was 'Take a Moment'. During the 3 day storm of Oct. 10 to 12th, I took lots of moments - simply staring out the window in disbelief as the wind kept getting stronger & stronger & the snow just kept coming & coming, hour after hour and then day after day.
I shot this video during the first few hours of the storm, after that I only ventured outside quickly to feed the poor little birds. I really don't know how they survived and I like to think that I may have helped them just a little bit.
Anyway... here it is. My first attempt at a slow motion movie. It's a little jerky because I forgot to shoot it at 120 fps (proper speed for slo mo) but hopefully it conveys the feelings of the moment.
