Our little poplar stand in winter

They are probably better known as Aspens, but we call them Poplar and/or Black Poplar. As far as I know they are all much the same. The trees never get very big or tall here as they grow in a very small amount of soil on the top of limestone bedrock. So these may be much older than they look. 01/20/23

My Christmas Amaryllis

My daughters and I all bought each other an Amaryllis bulb for Christmas. We thought it would be a lovely way to connect - each of us would have a wonderful bloom to enjoy together, even though we are apart. (BTW - Mine bloomed first, not that it's a competition, of course!) 01/21/23
