Smoke from a fire that got out of control - a farmer burning straw bales. This was actually quite close to town. We seem to be smothered by smoke these days - every evening the smoke for the terrible fires in northern BC and Alberta moves in and fills the sky. 05/22/23
Building up this wall of rock to create a man made marina must have taken untold hours of hard labour, many years ago. It still stands today, as solid and strong as ever. 05/19/23
In a day or two, the ice will be gone and the boats will begin arriving in the marina. The dry dock area was busy when we were there, full of folks working on their boats, getting ready to launch. It's an exciting time of year as we all shift gears into summer! 05/18/23
