The busy little Sapsucker was kind enough to give me a very nice view from the side. If you look closely, you can see the sap running on the tree. I have a couple of shots of him actually working on the sap. 06/02/23
This Yellow Bellied Sapsucker kept hoping around and around the tree, ignoring me. Finally he peeked around the tree trunk and had a good look at me and the camera. It was pretty clear that I was interrupting him and had become annoying, so I left him to it. Cute little guy, but very very busy. 06/01/23
I bought a few poppies this year... they are still waiting to be planted. I should be able to get them in this weekend - all the folks that know about gardening say 'don't plant until after June 1st'. Even then we can still get frost, but it's unlikely. Clearly this little plant is ready for its forever home. :) 05/31/23
