Another one of the photos I took on my treck through the snow. It's minus 27C here this morning, windchill of minus 37C, so I won't be out taking pictures of the prairie today! 01/28/23

My Christmas Amaryllis

My daughters and I all bought each other an Amaryllis bulb for Christmas. We thought it would be a lovely way to connect - each of us would have a wonderful bloom to enjoy together, even though we are apart. (BTW - Mine bloomed first, not that it's a competition, of course!) 01/21/23

We've been enjoying the most wonderful weather - mild (-10C to -15C), bright sunshine, not much wind and high humidity. This relatively rare combination creates a spectacular display of hoar frost that lasts all day. I have to warn you - I took a LOT of pictures! And I will be sharing many of them with you ..... I'm thrilled to finally have something to photograph!

Thanks for your comments on my Christmas ornaments - for those of you who noticed that I already knew their interests when I bought the little angels, it's not that I was particularly intuitive - they were 6 years old when they were adopted by my daughter and son-in-law in BC...:-)) 01/04/22

Our last little angels - the twins!

Our double blessing arrived a few years later. They are all grown up now too, graduating High School last year. How the years do fly! I really do love these little ornaments, although I haven't seen them in the stores lately - not only are they adorable but they also say something about the personality they represent. Both Rhea and Oliver are very artistic and love dogs..... Well, the Christmas season is well and truly behind us now, so I'm wrapping up my 'ornament' series. Thanks for sticking with me! 01/03/23
