While she was in Halifax, Mackenzie's friend took this iPhone photo of her. I really liked it, so thought I would share it with all of you. It's hard to believe how quickly the years go by with grandchildren - sometimes I wish she was that sweet little girl again (seems like yesterday) but at the same time, I am so happy to see her all grown up and making her way in the world with confidence, determination and enthusiasm. One thing I know about grandparenting - it tends to be an emotional roller coaster, doesn't it? 10/27/22
Mackenzie was recently in Nova Scotia, for a short visit with a friend. Before she left, she promised she would get to Peggy's Cove - because I've always said I'd love to go there for the photographs. While she was there - in this exact location, actually - she was able to FaceTime me and 'together' we walked over these beautiful rocks and I was able to see Peggy's Cove with her. Sometimes the miracles of technology still amaze me! This photo was taken by her friend, shortly after our walk together. The sky was paper white and boring, so I replaced it with a sky from Luminar. Such a cool feature. 10/26/22
During a recent visit to our Garden Centre, I found this cute little fella hard at work, watering the flowers. I couldn't help wonder if he would enjoy coming home with us, and joining the 'boys' at the Lake for the summer. I know they would love the company and he would certainly fit right in. But in the end, I left him there. He seemed happy, whistling while he worked, and the price tag on his butt was just a bit too much for the ol' pocketbook.
