This is the scene around the corner and down the hill from my house. All day, every day, the geese, ducks, seagulls and guests, arrive, rest, have a swim, fly off to find food.... and probably return later. You may wonder why we would drive to the Marsh, looking for geese when this is practically in our backyard - it's because, they go to the Marsh for the night.... these geese and thousands of others, all gather in the air at dusk and when they arrive at the Marsh, they descend in wave after wave, sometimes blackening the sky. It truly is an amazing experience, one I can hopefully witness (and photograph) in the next few days. 11/01/22
We went for a walk in the Marsh yesterday, hoping to catch the geese coming in for the evening. Unfortunately we missed it.... there were -what must have been- several thousand that arrived while we were there, but they were deep in the marsh, too far away to photograph, We had to leave before sunset when most of the geese come in. I hope we can get back again soon, our weather has been lovely so the numbers just keep on building.
You are still missed. 10/30/22
