A little more info on the 'oven project' - it burns only wood, and there seems to be little control over the heat. It goes directly, and quickly, to hot! We are total beginners with this skill and there is a LOT to learn!! The scones turned out beautifully but bread was not so great, neither were the ribs, we did try pizza but that was a disaster - forgot to cover it and apparently sand is still falling off the inside, so it was an unexpectedly crunchy pizza. (It will be quite some time before we try that again!) It's totally Terry's project (I try to avoid cooking, especially experimental cooking, and I definitely avoid anything to do with making cement) but he had loads of fun making it and cooking in it. Every project needs a supervisor, so that was me. I was also in charge of supplying the beer, documenting progress with photographs and mostly, just keeping out of the way. Luckily I'm quite good at all of the above. :-)) 09/30/22 ps.. he also made the bench to support the weight of the oven, he's really quite crafty! (not a word he would ever use, lol)
