I'll be leaving them all for the birds though - they are so bitter, I really don't like them much. Lots of folks love them and they do make a tasty jam (with tons of sugar, of course) but I think my jam making days are behind me. I'd rather be out taking pictures. :) 10/12/22
Standing so pretty in the midst of the prairie chaos!
With over 100 varieties of Goldenrod, I'd be guessing to say this is Stiff Goldenrod. I know this is a very busy image but I like it because it tells the story of the Prairie - everything growing everywhere, creating what seems to be an organized chaos. But the Prairie wants you to stop and really look - until you see it's not chaos after all. It's an amazing collection of individuals each making their own choice about where to grow and who to have in their neighbourhood. The basics of a happy life! 10/10/22
