This little face is the reason for our road trip over the weekend. Baxter is our brand new 8 week old Leonberger puppy. He actually comes from Alberta, but we didn't have to drive all the way to Edmonton to pick him up - we have family who live there, and they met us in Saskatoon. It's definitely not the best puppy portrait, but I did want to share his cute little face with you. As you can clearly see, the arrival of the juvenile Baltimore Oriole was quite upsetting to the Catbird, who obviously has claimed the bath. The Oriole was totally nonchalant - it seemed he could care less about anything the Catbird had to say, and he simply proceeded, quite happily, to thoroughly enjoy himself. We are away for the weekend on a quick road trip west to Saskatchewan, so I'll be missing for a few days. I'll catch up with your photos when we get back next week. The Catbird just has to be the funniest bird in the bath - there's something about their expression which I find hilarious. Maybe it's just me, but doesn't that face just crack you up? 07/16/21
