Living in the (almost) North Pole
My daughter, Lisa, sent me this selfie yesterday.
She is currently working (as a Midwife) in Igloolik, Nunavut, which is 1400 miles south of the North Pole, a small community of about 1700.
She still has about 4 hours of daylight, but soon there will be none, and the cold is just beginning to really settle in.
I think she said, with the windchill, it was -31C (-24F) when she took the photo, still 'warm' enough to be outside without covering your eyes.
Makes our weather look downright balmy!
