I hope someone can ID this strange looking insect. I know the picture is out of focus, sadly I didn't get a good shot, but I'm posting it anyway because I have never seen anything like this before.... it looks like some sort of mutant bee! One of those insect creatures that makes me very thankful they are not any larger than they are. lol. 06/25/21
I like how the pretty bands of colour show up with this top down view. It is so humbling to think that so much of our food depends on the diligent work of this busy little worker. 06/24/21
I've seen more bees this year than for the last 4 or 5 years - so wonderful to see them back again. I do so hope they are recovering! 06/23/21
