The blind is actually closed on the window so nothing you see is inside the room. It's all reflection upon reflection and it will be hard to make sense of it. I just thought it was kinda cool. 02/12/20
Another view of the old boats that travelled the Red River in years gone by. The banks of the Red River and the Old Selkirk Bridge are glimpsed in the background. Unfortunately the composition is not all that great. I only had time for a couple of quick snapshots - Shelby was spinning cartwheels in the back seat of the car, in an annoying display of excitement over the upcoming walk in her favourite park. So my moment was brief and photography, not the priority.... sadly. 02/11/20
One of our favourite parks is in Selkirk, about half an hour from home. A section of the park is deducated to the Marine Museum of Manitoba and these two old boats are part of it. All the boats in the museum were used on the Red River in days gone by. River traffic is mostly small personal craft nowadays but we do still have one or two paddleboats that run all summer long. I think they are open all year round, but for obvious reasons, there’s not a lot of visitors in the winter months. In the warmer weather, its a very cool place to wander through. 02/10/20
