Our leaves are all gone now, and we are into the season of ‘Brown’. Everything is brown - the trees, the grass, the bushes. The season when I can’t find a photo outside anywhere. So... I will keep posting pictures of autumn colours from the archives until something a little more interesting happens around here. It cheers me up to remember how beautiful the world was, such a short time ago. 10/19/20
The rose hips are everywhere now. They brighten the Prairie with their little splash of red, scattered here and there. Thank you all for your comments and views - greatly appreciated, as always. Have a lovely Sunday, everyone! 10/18/20 Www.jmcqueenphoto.com
Yesterday morning we were surprised to find our fountain looking like this - almost frozen. Fortunately, a little bit of water was still running so the pump didn’t freeze and we were able to rescue it before damage was done. I was insisting on leaving the fountain running for the birds - it’s still so dry here at home, there is no standing water anywhere. But... now we are into freezing temps every night, there will be no more running water for them. The snow should be here soon, so I’m sure they will be all right til then. 10/17/20
