The next day.....Sunday morning - all the ice is gone, summer can commence! What a difference a day makes! 05/05/20
After a day of high wind and rain, the ice on the lake finally broke up. This is how the beach looked on Saturday morning with the ice pushed up on the beach by the winds, you can see some of the open water now forming in the background. Tomorrow I’ll show you the shot I took on Sunday morning, only 24 hours later. The difference is quite surprising! 05/04/20
Our little Prairie Crocus is amazing… it pops up out of the almost frozen ground and immediately blooms its little heart out. Whenever I photograph our Prairie flowers, I try to tell their stories. Because they are wild and could be decades old, I always imagine they have wonderful stories to tell me, if only I could hear them. So this shot, with the lone little crocus struggling through the long matted remains of last year’s grasses and plants, is my attempt at telling the story of this one tough little Prairie Crocus. 05/02/20
