We have just spent the last few days at the Lake, finishing up all the last details before closing everything up for winter. Tuesday was our last night there ….. I had walked down the beach, hoping for a sunset shot even though the sky did not look promising, and was just standing there waiting…. listening to last calls of autumn, the geese coming in for the night and a few seagulls overhead, and suddenly the sun burst through the clouds, in one of those rare magical moments. So very briefly, everything was bathed in gold and it felt like the most wonderful farewell moment, a true blessing from this place that I love so much. 10/08/20
