As the storm approaches, these 3 decide it’s a great time for a boat ride and off they go, in a big hurry to get away. As you can see, their family is out there, telling them to get their butts back, immediately! But off they go, laughing all the way. The crowd on the beach (all 10 of us) shakes its collective head & hopes they have more sense than they seem to. 07/28/20 www.jmcqueenphoto.com
The heat has been unrelenting here, for most of July, which means many hours spent cooling off in the water. However, when the sky looks like this, it’s time to think about heading for shore before the lightening arrives. 07/27/20
The only place to be on a hot summer afternoon is in the water and, of course, that’s where everyone is. I’m on my ‘floaty thing”, sipping a cool beverage, watching the clouds building in the west, enjoying the company of neighbours, listening to all the summer sounds of fun & laughter around me, and thinking how very lucky I am…. (If you are wondering what’s in the background - on the right is a collection of recently used ‘floaty things’ and on the left is a seadoo getting pushed out past a sandbar.) Many thanks for all your thoughts on my photos of a few of the abandoned farm sites in our area, I really enjoyed reading them all. 07/26/20
