A flock of swans has decided to nest close by & they drop by (as in, swim by) first thing every morning. Not a big deal for them, but a very exciting event for me. Swans are rare around here and usually prefer to nest further north, far away from the human population. They never come close to shore, wise beings that they are, so, not having a very long lens, my photo ops are non existant. Even though you can barely see them, I thought you might enjoy the scene…. 05/30/19
This is how tiny these native prairie flowers are … I thought the tip of my finger might put them in perspective. All the very first flowers are about this size (except the Prairie Crocus). I’m not sure why but I do know that Nature will have a very good reason. 05/29/19
Another very small native wildflower, the third species to bloom this spring after our prairie burn. My macro lens makes it so much easier to capture these tiny blossoms. 05/28/19
