The transition from winter to spring is a much slower one at the Lake - ‘down south’ (at our house) all our snow has been gone for a couple of weeks already, but 2 hours north it’s still hanging on. They had much more snow up there over the winter and the temps are kept colder by the ice on the lake, but I was amazed at how many birds are already back and singing their little hearts out. It’s the birds that bring us spring … often it seems it’s their mission, to remind us it will come when we are too quick to give up hope. Happy Monday everyone! Let’s make it a great week! 04/29/19
Fortunately, ice removal does not have to be done manually. All it takes is patience, which is often in short supply at this time of year. (another shot from our quick trip to the lake) 04/28/19
Our little Prairie Crocus flowers are still blooming, although some rain would certainly be welcome! Thanks for all your concerns & well wishes for Shelby & her surgery. She had a rough 24 hours but seems to be doing much better now …. we are all very happy to have it behind us. 04/27/19
