Another teeny tiny flower that is native to the Manitoba Tall Grass Prairie. It is actually of the Amaryllis family, has long, grasslike leaves & it can grow to 20 cm tall, although they are very short on our Prairie this year, probably because of the spring burn. We’ve noticed everything is a little later and smaller… hopefully next year the Prairie will benefit more from the burn. BTW - I was not picking this pretty little being, I just wanted to show it’s small size. I didn’t realize until I looked at the photos, that an ant had also decided to help bring things into perspective.. :-) Thanks so much for all your thoughts, comments & critiques on my photos, I do so appreciate the time you spend with them! 06/25/19
