I think that’s what they are… please correct me if I’m wrong. I’m a bit behind in posting my pics… spring burst out here about 2 weeks ago with lots of the trees blossoming. It seems like you wait & wait & wait for spring, then one day - there it is! And everything happens at once! 06/17/19
Shelby isn’t exactly a water dog but throw a stick anywhere and she’s on it! Thanks so much for all your thoughts on my little robin’s nest, it was fun to share it with all of you… hope you are enjoying a lovely Sunday, wherever you are & whatever your weather! 06/16/19
As promised…. here is what I found in the Robin’s nest on June 11. It’s really not a great shot - I hope you can make out 2 little faces, & 4 little bodies. Be prepared -they are not the cutest faces you’ve ever seen … :-) I could have made more of an effort to get a better photo of the little guys, but I didn’t want to disturb them, so I just slipped in really quickly, shot & left. It was the first time I’d been back since I saw the eggs, and quite frankly… I was surprised to find them there. I stopped by the nest yesterday (June 14) so I could give you an update - and found the nest completely empty. I’m trying to feel positive about that, but I find it difficult to believe that they were able to leave the nest 3 days after I took this pic. Although, on a happy note, the nest was intact, no sign of invasion anywhere, so I’m choosing to believe that they are up in the trees above, figuring out this flying thing… 06/15/19
