We've had some lovely storms lately, bringing our much needed rain.
We face south so we don’t get much in the way of sunsets over the water, but sometimes the clouds catch the colour and it’s almost as pretty as the actual sunset would be.
Many thanks for all your wonderful comments about my prairie flower series, I’m so glad you enjoy them.
The Prairie has shfted from it’s pink/purple hues to yellows over the last few weeks. It’s all Goldenrod now, with a few Black-eyed Susans here & there.
We’ve finally had some rain and the Goldenrod are flourishing, all 3 of our native varieties are popping up everywhere… this is the Stiff Goldenrod, I also have a few pics of the Showy and the Graceful Goldenrod, but I won’t post them all here, they will have their own gallery someday (soon, I hope).
It’s definitely time for something different, thanks so much for sticking with me through all these flower pics, and thanks so very much for all your comments.
Berries, berries everywhere. I know so little about berries… I’m not sure but I think these are chokecherries which are way too bitter for my tastes. Lots of folks love them tho, and they are super rich in Vitamin C.
Chokecherry jam is still very popular around here, all you need is the time to make it!
