This is our little piece of paradise - our lake property that we call Barefoot Beach. We made lots of big changes this year. It was a very busy summer. This is a drone shot taken as we moved our ‘guest’ camper from its previous location in the middle of the yard to a new spot back in the trees, where you see it here. A friend with his drone dropped by and filmed the whole move. This is one of the still shots taken just as the truck was finishing moving the camper into its new spot. Unforunately none of the still shots showed the main part of our property. You can see a tiny bit of our ‘main’ camper behind the trees, a glimpse of the gazebo and then just a little bit of the lake at the top of the frame. I thought you might find the perspective of the shot interesting, definitely made me realize how fun it would be to have a drone. Thanks so much for all your comments on my bird photos over the last few days - greatly appreciated, as always. 11/25/19
Not only the handsomest bird we have, but he also has the most beautiful song. He is quite shy and very hard to find in the trees, in spite of his bright colours, because his song seems to come from everywhere at once. Even though he hides in the trees, he has no problem being a regular at the bird bath. Obviously, frequent bathing is a must to keep those very fine feathers looking their best. 11/24/19
It took me awhile to figure out that this is a juvenile Robin - at least I think it is. What do you think? 11/23/19
