Seems like that is the theme of almost all of my photos from last summer…. this is a shot taken from our front deck, another storm approaching. We get many storms over the summer, the 2 bodies of water in the middle of the continent tend to create all the conditions necessary for rain, wind & even tornados, so it pays to always be aware of the weather. Hope you are all enjoying a beautiful spring weekend, camera in hand! 03/30/19
Watching clouds like this one rolling in across the lake, heading directly towards us, always fills me with a sense of impending doom. The day I took this shot (last summer) most of my family were out on that water & I was anxiously waiting for a sight of them. I don’t know if you can see it, but there is actually a tiny boat to the left along the horizon… that’s them, pushing our little boat as fast as it could go. And yes, they made it just in time and although the storm was a wild one, we were all safely indoors when it hit. 03/29/19 Many thanks for your comments, always appreciated so much!
Working my way through some unprocessed summer shots. Warm days still seem so far away - March can be a very long month in Manitoba. I am silently celebrating it’s impending demise… :) 03/28/19
