Our little Prairie Crocus flowers are still blooming, although some rain would certainly be welcome! Thanks for all your concerns & well wishes for Shelby & her surgery. She had a rough 24 hours but seems to be doing much better now …. we are all very happy to have it behind us. 04/27/19
Another shot of the ice breaking up on Lake Manitoba. As we walked down the beach, it seemed every few feet the water & ice told a different story of the transition. Thanks so much for your views & comments, I’m so grateful for the time you spend with my photos… :-) I may be late with commenting over the next few days, Shelby needs some surgery done & she will, naturally, be my priority.... ) 04/26/19
We made a quick trip up to the lake for a brief 24 hour visit. There’s still a few snow drifts scattered here & there and the lake is more ice than water. It’s a mushy ice, I think they call it ‘rotten’ ice, but still surprisingly thick in some places. Because we had such a cold winter, the ice on Lake Manitoba was more than 6 feet thick so it’s taking longer than ususal to melt. A couple more weeks and it will be gone and all signs of winter will finally be behind us…. Thanks so much for checking on my ‘iPad upload’ yesterday - good to know it seems to be do-able! 04/25/19
