I wanted some kind of Canadian image to celebrate Canada Day, but the wind wouldn’t blow so the flag wouldn’t fly…. I’m so very grateful to be Canadian & be lucky enough to live in this amazing country. For the 4th year in a row, we are Number One country in the world for Best Quality of Life! (according to a study done by US News & World Report). No surprise there! Yay Canada!! Let’s go get a Timmie’s to celebrate! 07/01/19.
My oldest daughter, Kelly, standing on the beach with Shelby - when she came to visit earlier this month… she spent most of her time at the lake, helping us with all the current projects. I’ve been playing with HDR (again), trying to get more detail in the skies. This is a 5 shot, 2 stops between shots image, processed in Aurora. I painted Kelly in from one image to get the skin tones right. I know it’s possible to bring back lots of sky detail when shooting RAW but I think HDR offers more workable options…. oddly I ended up with some sort of flare in the upper right corner & didn’t notice it until I was finished processing, so decided to just leave it, even though 2 suns is sorta weird.... :-) 06/30/19
We’ve been making lots of changes at the Lake, and all of them seem to involve more work. Strange how much work it takes to create a place to relax in…. 06/29/19
