Native Prairie needs to be burnt every few years otherwise it gets more & more overgrown with invasive grasses that eventually choke out the native grasses & flowers. Our problem is that we live on the edge of town so our window for burning our 6 acres of Prairie is very narrow - conditions have to very specific before we can burn. It’s been 11 years since our last burn & this year we got lucky and got it done on the perfect day, in perfect conditions. And …. I took 395 photos … so there’s quite likely to be a few fire photos coming up … :-) 05/04/19

After admiring so many photos shot ‘from the back seat of a speeding car’ by Judy at Fotoeffects, I thought I’d give it a try. I coudn’t find anything close to the spectacular mountain scenes that Judy captured but we did have some lovely storms gathering, so I practiced with them I wasn’t able to get the sharp focus I was hoping for, (you really mastered that Judy!) but it was fun trying and definitely helped pass the time during the long drive home from the lake, 05/02/19
