Very long & lean, probably 40 ft tall - they sway in the wind like grass. It's amazing they don't blow over more often. 03/ 22/ 18
Lake Manitoba is very shallow, especially along the shoreline. We can walk from sandbar to sandbar for at least half a mile, in some places much farther. This means we never get exceptionally big waves on the shore, no matter how wicked the wind, as the breakwater is half a mile to a mile from the shore. This is good for the beach and the amount of destruction we get from wind & water, but not so great for photo ops. Sometimes I wish we had giant waves, like out in the middle of the lake. However - I will not be venturing out there anytime soon... lol... :) 03/20/18
"Are you trying to tell me the walk is over? Already? Seriously?...!!!!" It's never acceptable when the usual evening walk along the beach is cut short, and it does not matter at all what the reason might be. 03/21/18
