A couple of weeks ago, whilst suffering from cabin fever, I ordered a new lens that I totally did NOT need, and OMGoodness!! do I ever LOVE it!! It's the Lensbaby Velvet 85. I have the original Lensbaby and it's so tricky to use, I never did get the hang of it. But the Velvet 85 looks like any other lens, very solid & beautifully constructed, and it creates an unbelievably soft & dreamy focus as you open up the aperture. I'd better warn you that you will be seeing lots of the Velvet 85 in the days to come .... hopefully, you will like the effect....:) Many thanks for all your comments over the last little while, it's so nice to be back and connecting with all of you again. 02/21/18
This is right out of the camera, pretty much. This lens creates a wonderful soft focus that seems to glow more & more as you open the aperture. Unfortunately, because it's a manual focus lens it doesn't record the settings for the shot - I think this was at F4, but it might have been F5.6.
