To the rescue!

It's a wonderful thing when a boy's toys can save the day! Terry managed to lasso the wayward dock and drag it back into shore with the quad. "See!" he said. "That's why everyone needs a quad!" "Sure" I said, "cause we all know THAT happens every day!" 06.29.17

Bye Bye Dock!

The winds from the storms just kept getting higher & higher each day, finally got strong enough to blow the dock right off the shore and into the lake.... 06.29.17

A moment in time....

The rays of the sun peeked through for only a second - for once I had my camera in the right place at the right time - seems like I usually miss these moments, so this is one that didn't get away.... :) 06.27.17

Stormy nights & rainy days

Storm after storm rolling through, day after day... seems like this is the way the summer will unfold here in Manitoba. BTW... I did not have a dirty lens when I went for a walk down the beach and took this photo... those are fish flies! Apparently they REALLY enjoy the cool wet weather - thank goodness they only last a couple of weeks! 06.27.17

Life by the campfire

The best of summer - family (of both the 2 and 4 legged variety), fresh north country air, smokey fires, evenings that last most of the night, and of course, a favourite beverage close at hand. Who could ask for anything more? 06.27.17

It's lake time again!

Our first few days at the lake were hot and windy, perfect for shooting the waves. Lots of debris still on the beach - left from months of shifting water, snow & ice. 06.13.17
