It was a cold, rainy, blustery morning .... this little group of Purple Martins lined up together on the clothes line to keep warm. Poor little things. 06/12/22
Just when everyone was getting settled, two more Martens showed up, and it seemed quite obvious that they had not been invited to the party. The newcomers didn't stay long, guess they could sense that they were not exactly welcome. Re: the Purple Martins... the very dark ones are the males, so there are 2 males here and the rest are females, this pic was taken on June 2nd and they had only just arrived about 2 weeks before this and were just beginning the nest building, so no young ones yet, probably not even any eggs. 06/13/22
