Chicken wire on the roof

I thought the frosty wire on the roof of the shed looked kinda cool, but maybe it’s becoming clear that I’m getting a little bit desperate for something to ‘shoot’… :)) 01/12/21

Mid winter hoar frost

Hoar frost in January doesn’t happen very often around here, usually it’s too cold. But yesterday morning we had warm temps (just below zero C), bright blue skies and a lovely dusting of hoar frost. It felt so good to be out with my camera again. It’s been weeks since I’ve had either the opportunity or the motivation - a really great way to begin the year. 01/03/21

Winter at its best

Taken a few weeks ago, when one could still walk around outside with a camera. Unlike now, when time spent outside is a quick dash from one place to another. We are hoping for relief from the cold by the end of the week, I can only hope it is the same for all you who are enduring these extreme conditions. 02/15/21

Room to run

The tricky climb and descent from the snowbanks across our yard (at the lake) was totally worth the effort once we reached the lake. - easy walking over the ice and lots of room for Shelby to run. 03/20/21

Snow drifts & textures

The only way to get to the lake was by climbing over this snow drift. And because it was 6 or 7ft high, it actually presented quite a problem, especially at first. Eventually we created a bit of a trail and some steps up and over.... 03/17/21
