I thought this shot was just so cute, I had to share it with you. These two juvenile Cedar Waxwings are obviously siblings - there were 4 of them that seemed to be together, you can see a third one faintly in the background. More fun in the sprinkler water… hope you are not getting tired of them yet, I have more to come! 08/18/20
I’ve rarely seen a Hummingbird sitting quietly on a branch, like this one. I think she was just enjoying the moment and the coolness of the water from the sprinkler. Thanks so much for your comments, I appreciate each and every one, every single day. Have a wonderful Sunday everyone! 08/16/20
The only place to be on a hot summer afternoon is in the water and, of course, that’s where everyone is. I’m on my ‘floaty thing”, sipping a cool beverage, watching the clouds building in the west, enjoying the company of neighbours, listening to all the summer sounds of fun & laughter, and thinking how very lucky I am…. (If you are wondering what’s in the background - on the right is a collection of recently used ‘floaty things’ and on the left is a seadoo getting pushed out past a sandbar.) Many thanks for all your thoughts on my photos of a few of the abandoned farm sites in our area, I really enjoyed reading them all. 07/26/20
